Liquid for determination of somatic cells number in a raw milk (from 100.000). It allows for an individual control and evaluation of the udder condition long before the appearance of visible changes in milk like clots, blood, etc. Results reading: a. mixture stays liquid, no streaks, colour – yellow. Result- about 100 000 somatic cells - milk is good, no changes. b. mixture forms light streaks, colour orange and red. Result: number of somatic sells is increased - 200 000 to 500 000 - the health of the udder is threatened. c. mixture forms clear streaks and is getting gelatinous, colour - red and violet. Result - the number of somatic cells is much increased - 500 000 to 1 000 000. Udder is ill, subclinical inflammation. d. mixture forms very clear streaks and looks like gelatinous mass, colour: red and blue. Result: more than 1 000 000 of somatic cells - inflammation of the udder.
